Lead Analyst: Retail Banking Excellence (REBEX)

Job description

BCG Expand are seeking a Lead Analyst to help support and drive a large, growing book of work aligned to the Retail Banking sector in the REBEX (Retail Banking Excellence) team. The successful candidate will be expected to successfully contribute to revenue growth and innovation to their domain and ensure successful completion of projects with experience and flexibility.

The Lead Analyst will manage client projects in the region, supporting clients’ strategic decisions through BCG Expand’s syndicated benchmarking and market research. A significant part of the role will involve in-depth discussions with clients, including C-suite executives, to guide strategic decisions using insights and analysis. We are looking for a proactive, curious, and diligent individual—a systematic and articulate problem solver who will play a key role in the Retail Banking Practice Area.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of client projects, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis of large qualitative and quantitative datasets to build strategic insights
  • Interpreting market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and highlight emerging opportunities.
  • Leading client and internal meetings effectively; addressing client questions/queries using the data and content expertise
  • Understanding client needs and delivering tailored, insight-driven solutions through proprietary tools, rigorous analysis, and customized reports or presentations
  • Working with BCG case teams as part of BCG case engagements (remote and selectively on-site)
  • Ensuring client and case team satisfaction and timely project delivery
  • Driving new ideas and working independently with limited guidance
  • Collaborating with colleagues to sustain and grow the program’s membership base
  • Over time: Take on oversight and line management for junior team members

While senior team members provide oversight, BCG Expand’s culture puts emphasis on personal ownership at every stage of an employee’s career. Furthermore, Lead Analysts play a central role in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, from supporting sales through to initial data collection, analysis, visualization and communication of the findings, allowing for a great deal of diversity on the job and the development of a broad skills set. You will have a high level of direct client exposure, which in many cases reaches C-level executives.

We seek an analytical, articulate, and proactive problem solver who will lead the analysis and delivery process. The role requires rapid learning and business knowledge development, with strong opportunities for internal career progression.
